Anchorage Tying
08.17.26
The Anchorage Program meets at the William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 5:30. On Feb 3, 2022 veterans gathered to tie the Griffith Gnat in a variety of sizes. The challenge was to see how small could you tie that gnat. Veteran Fred Larson tied a gnat on a size 22-too small for most eyes to accomplish. The veterans enjoyed an evening of chili, fly tying, and camaraderie.
The Anchorage Program is fortunate to have support from the State of Alaska for the use of the conference room in the Hatchery. Can’t think of a better place to tie flies and build rods, then being surrounded by fish.
