On Sunday, December 19, the La Plata Program of PHWFF held their final outing of the year at a brand new fishing spot.

The new fishing hole was located in Beaver Creek

This event was a day outing to Beaver Creek. It was the first time going for the La Plata Program

2- The outing took place on Beaver Creek which is located just outside of Harrisonburg, Virginia

3- Sunday 12/19/2021

4- We were supposed to have 6 veterans on the outing, ended up with two. The weather was questionable, but as the day went on the sun came out and warmed things up a little. Stu Thomas and Larry Lawson had a great time, with Stu catching and landing several fish, while Larry hooked a few but unable to complete the deal. Both had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back in 2022

5- Seeing the smiles on Stu and Larry’s face as they were learning how to euro nymph and the little bumps they would get, a new technique to both.

6- Jerry Black and the Massanutten TU for hosting the vets. Carl Rettenberger from the Ft. Belvoir Program for guiding Stu, and Zach Brantley from the Charlottesville Program for guiding Larry
